The majority of individuals who try out e-bikes for the first time have a strong affinity for them.
So what is preventing these bikes from gaining even more popularity in the United States?
One of the main reasons, likely the top reason, is the perception that e-bikes (or bikes in general) are not safe and reliable enough. Concerns about safety are holding back potential e-bike enthusiasts from embracing this mode of transportation.
To address these concerns and showcase the numerous safe cycling routes available, the advocacy group People for Bikes introduced Ride Spot earlier this year.
Ride Spot is a mobile app and website that allows individuals and bike shops to propose routes within their cities, with a focus on safe recreational and commuting paths rather than high-speed racing routes.
