No going back now. I’m going to extend the length of the bike and drop the batteries down between the seat post and the rear tire. You can see the approximate placement and size of the battery box in the photo.
This will lower the center of gravity and extend the wheel base which should improve stability enormously.
One thing I’m concerned with is the width of the battery box. I don’t think that it will interfere with pedaling bit it will be close. The width of the battery box will be just under 5”. I might have to switch to smaller batteries.
